This FFRI yarai Information Collection Policy (this “Policy”) is to explain about information collected by FFRI, Inc. (this “FFRI”) via “FFRI yarai Home and Business Edition” (this “Software”) and its treatment.

As the contents of this Policy provided by FFRI may be updated without notification, please access and refer to the web page of Policy (https://www.ffri.jp/en/information/privacy/yaraihb_privacy_policy.htm).

A user of the Software shall be deemed to consent to the latest version of this Policy.

1. Information to be Collected

FFRI will collect the following information from a user of the Software by way not being able to identify a specific individual. The following information will be collected via the Software and transmitted to the server (this “Server”) of FFRI.

1-1 User Attribute Information Registered upon Starting to Use Software
Attribute Information not being able to identify a specific individual will be transmitted to the Server.

1-2 Use Environment of Software
Information of the hardware environment in which the Software is installed, OS and application concurrently used will be transmitted to the Server.

1-3 Information relating to Detected Files
Information relating to malware and files detected as vulnerability attack will be transmitted to the Server.

1-4 Operation Logs of Application
Operation logs of applications will be transmitted to the Server. Operation logs include information useful for quality improvement of applications. While such information may include personal information, FFRI will not identify a customer using such information.

2. Purposes of Use of Information Collected via Software

2-1 Improvement of convenience of the Software operated on the computers of users;

2-2 Automatic updating of installed Software;

2-3 Coping with problems occurred upon system operation; and

2-4 Improvement of products and use for business development of FFRI.

3. Third Party Provision of Information Collected via Software

While FFRI will not collect personal information via the Software by way being able to identify a specific user, FFRI will not, in principle, provide its collected information to a third party without obtaining consent of the user and the information collected via the Software will be provided to a third party with specifying such third party and provided information only upon consent of the user; provided that the above will not be applicable in any of the following cases or in case of the following “4. Provision to Business Alliance Party/Business Outsourcing Party of Information Collected via Software”.

3-1 In case there is a legal inquiry from a judicial or administrative organization, such as courts or police offices, or other entities equivalent thereto;

3-2 In case FFRI deals with breaches of the laws, regulations, the terms and conditions provided by FFRI or issues of normal social conventions;

3-3 In case it is necessary for protection of safety, rights and interests of users of the Software and other third parties; and

3-4 In addition to the above, in case provision or disclosure to a third party is admitted by the laws and regulations.

4. Provision to Business Alliance Party/Business Outsourcing Party of Information Collected via Software

Notwithstanding the above provisions, FFRI may provide the information collected via the Software to its business alliance parties or business outsourcing parties and allow the same to be used for the alliance business or outsourced business to the extent of the above “2. Purposed of Use of Information Collected via Software”. In such case, FFRI will include all terms and conditions required by applicable laws and regulations (including guidelines) in the relevant agreements, and will pay its bet attention for necessary and proper supervision.
